Design Concept
-
Metal edge-lit channel letters take "texture as the core, light and shadow as the charm" as the core design logic. Different from the bold and eye-catching front-lit signs, they highlight the exquisite texture of metal itself and soft gradation of lighting. With light sources embedded along the side grooves of the metal letter shell, light gently spills out following the font outline. They retain the premium texture of metal signage and create a restrained, elegant atmosphere with light and shadow, perfectly satisfying the dual demand for "high quality" and "ambience" in high-end real estate and commercial landmark projects.

Style Compatibility
Modern Light Luxury Style: Mirror stainless steel + warm yellow light + marble base, ideal for high-end residences and sales office signage.
New Chinese Style: Brushed antique bronze metal + warm white light + stone base, integrating oriental aesthetics and modern craftsmanship.
Minimalist Industrial Style: Matte black steel + cool white light + concrete base, highlighting sharp lines and material contrast.
Structure & Material Analysis
-
Letter Shell
Material: Mainly stainless steel (brushed / mirror / electroplated), titanium gold, rose gold and other metals. The surface can be sandblasted, color-plated and fingerprint-resistant treated to enhance premium texture.
Craft: Laser cutting, bending and welding. Letter thickness normally ranges from 10–30 mm. Grooves are reserved on the side for embedding light sources. Edges are finely polished without burrs to ensure uniform light emission. -
Lighting System
Core: High CRI flexible LED light strips are adopted. Color temperature options are mainly warm yellow (2700K–3000K) and warm white (3500K–4000K) to avoid harsh cool light.
Concealment: Light strips are embedded in side grooves of the letter shell, sealed with acrylic or metal cover plates, so light only escapes from the edge and the light structure stays hidden. -
Mounting Base
Material: Matched with stone (marble / granite), metal (brushed black steel / titanium gold), acrylic and other bases to align with the overall landscape or architectural style of the project.
Structure: Letter shells are fixed to the base with hidden brackets. Access panels are reserved for later maintenance. Outdoor units are treated for waterproofing and rust prevention.
Application Scenarios
Real Estate Projects: Pylon signs at sales centers, entrance identification for residential compounds, building number signage (e.g. Block 4, Longhu Tianxi).
Commercial Landmarks: Entrance signage and wayfinding systems for premium shopping malls, office towers and hotels.
Public Spaces: Landscape signage for urban parks, cultural and creative parks and clubs.
Brand Image: Outdoor signs for luxury boutiques and high-end restaurants.
Dual Experience for Day & Night
Daytime: Brushed texture, mirror luster or electroplated finish of the metal shell becomes the visual focus. The three-dimensional form and fine material details of the font are clearly presented to deliver the premium positioning of the project.
Nighttime: Once the side light is switched on, light diffuses softly along the font contour. It guarantees recognizability without glaring brightness, blends naturally with surrounding landscapes (greenery, water features, buildings), and builds a refined and tranquil nighttime ambience.
Key Points for Design Optimization
- Material selection shall match the project VI system and facade materials to avoid style inconsistency.
- Font proportion shall fit the viewing height of installation locations. For outdoor signage, letter height of no less than 60cm is recommended for long-distance readability.
- Outdoor projects require enhanced waterproof and anti-rust treatment: waterproof glue filled inside letter shells and drainage holes reserved on bases.
- Adopt high CRI, low-power LED strips to extend service life and cut maintenance cost.
- Installation positions shall be planned according to sightlines of the landscape to avoid blockage by plants, with sufficient space reserved for maintenance.
