Jelly illuminated letters follow the core design logic of “soft texture as the core, translucent light and shadow as the charm”. Breaking away from the rigid texture of conventional signage, they deliver a signage experience that looks soft, bouncy and translucent just like jelly, relying on the Q弹 visual effect of high-transmittance materials and gentle luminous ambience. They meet young brands’ visual pursuit of “healing vibe” and “girlish style”. The combination of translucent materials and lighting creates a dreamy and lively spatial atmosphere, catering to the design demand of trendy shops and beauty salons that prioritize appearance and ambience.
- Yellowing-resistant high-transmittance acrylic (such as imported PMMA) is preferred to prevent loss of transparency and yellow discoloration after long-term use.
- It is recommended to limit the color palette to 2–3 macaron shades to avoid visual clutter. Gradients of different shades within the same color family are a safer option.
- Luminous brightness should be moderate with soft diffusion as the priority. This can be achieved by adding inner frosted panels or lowering light source power.
- For outdoor use, extra waterproof and UV-resistant treatment is required with UV-stabilized materials and drainage holes to prevent water accumulation and light damage.
- Avoid installing under direct sunlight to slow material aging. Reserve maintenance space for light source replacement later。

Letter Shell
Core Material: High-transparency acrylic (3–8 mm thick), epoxy resin, PU crystal glue, etc. Rounded and plump “jelly-like” profiles are formed by vacuum blistering, pouring molding or CNC carving. The surface is polished to achieve high transparency and gloss.
Color Process: Translucent tinting, gradient airbrushing and interlayer coloring are adopted to present translucent macaron colors (pink, blue, yellow, purple, etc.). Some styles are equipped with frosted white / off-white base layers to enhance three-dimensionality and softness.
Shape Details: The edges of letters are rounded and chamfered to eliminate sharpness and further reinforce the soft, bouncy visual impression. Certain designs incorporate textures such as air bubbles and flow lines to simulate real jelly texture. -
Lighting System
Core Configuration: LED neon tubes, edge-lit light strips and diffuser panels are used as light sources, hidden at the bottom or inner layer of the letter shell. Light diffuses evenly through the high-transmittance material, creating a gentle effect as if the light glows from inside the jelly.
Color Temperature: Warm yellow (2700K–3000K) and warm white (3500K–4000K) are mainly selected to avoid harsh cool light that spoils the soft style. Some colored jelly letters are paired with light sources of matching hues to strengthen color translucency.
Protection Design: Waterproof glue is filled inside the letter shell and wiring joints are sealed, meeting moisture-proof requirements for indoor semi-open spaces. -
Mounting Structure
Fixation: Fixed with hidden brackets, magnetic fittings or adhesive tape. Brackets are finished with matte white or color-matched powder coating so exposed hardware will not ruin the overall aesthetic.
